Pesan haru Linkin Park untuk sahabat karibnya Chester Bennington

Minikutumedia.com – Senin pagi , (24/7) secara resmi pihak Linkin Park membuat surat terbuka di halaman websitenya linkinpark.com yang lalu disebarkan kembali akun sosial media official Linkin Park. Berikut isi dari suratnya:

“Dear Chester,

Our hearts are broken. The shockwaves of grief and denial are still sweeping through our family as we come to grips with what has happened.

You touched so many lives, maybe even more than you realized. In the past few days, we’ve seen an outpouring of love and support, both public and private, from around the world. Talinda and the family appreciate it, and want the world to know that you were the best husband, son, and father; the family will never be whole without you.

Talking with you about the years ahead together, your excitement was infectious. Your absence leaves a void that can never be filled—a boisterous, funny, ambitious, creative, kind, generous voice in the room is missing. We’re trying to remind ourselves that the demons who took you away from us were always part of the deal. After all, it was the way you sang about those demons that made everyone fall in love with you in the first place. You fearlessly put them on display, and in doing so, brought us together and taught us to be more human. You had the biggest heart, and managed to wear it on your sleeve.

Our love for making and performing music is inextinguishable. While we don’t know what path our future may take, we know that each of our lives was made better by you. Thank you for that gift. We love you, and miss you so much.

Inti dari pesan diatas adalah bahwa mereka sangat menyayangkan dan sangat terluka akibat kejadian tersebut. Mereka sangat kehilangan sosok yang ceria, ambisius dan kreatif. Mereka pun berkata “saat tak tahu seperti apa masa depan yang akan dilalui, tapi kita tahu beberapa bagian hidup kita menjadi lebih baik berkatnya.”

Menurut kutu, wajar saja mereka kaget, seperti yang telah kita ketahui Chester meninggal dengan cara gantung diri di apartementnya. Ditambah Chester diketahui gantung diri beberapa jam setelah Linkin Park meluncurkan official video clip terbarunya yang berjudul Talking To Myself.

Dalam halaman surat tersebut pun diberikan kolom komentar dan sudah terhitung ada 10 komentar yang masuk setelah beberapa menit di posting. Beberapa ada yang berkomentar:

Ya seperti yang kita ketahui, Chester bersama linkin park sudah lebih dari 20 tahun menemani kita di dunia musik, banyak pula orang yang terinspirasi dari lagu – lagu mereka akan tetapi Chester memilih untuk pergi meninggalkan kita, kutu pun cukup sedih saat pertama mendengar berita itu. Namun sahabat kutu semua jangan berlarut-larut dalam kesedihan karena Chester tidak mau kita semua sedih dengan kepergiannya. Meski wujudnya sudah tidak ada, Chester akan selalu ada didalam hati kutu yang takkan pernah tergantikan.

Sampai jumpa Chester Bennington, sampai bertemu kembali nanti, mungkin saat ini tuhan sedang rindu dan ingin memeluk mu dari dekat :’)
